The body... where to start? Somebody (the guy selling it) called this a "beautiful paint job" when we picked up the car. I think they were mistaken.

Apparently, the previous owner couldn’t afford to replace the door side moldings, or thought filling them in would look "keen". Whatever the case, the car looked odd with smooth sided doors. The filled-in seams were already cracking, so our decision was made. A proper set of 1996 door and quarter panel moldings were appropriated for the finished product.

A C4 Corvette just doesn’t look right without its side moldings, and since the bumper covers DID have them, we started in on the doors. If they chip out as easily as the picture shows, it should be smooth sailing.
