Black Light’s engine is the venerable L98 Tuned Port Injection (TPI) displacing 350 cubic inches. This is a good foundation for any C4 Corvette, but like with all fast Vettes, things can be improved.
As you can see, our work is cut out for us, and the first order of business is to straighten out the mechanical end of things before doing any serious modification of the engine.
The engine has a bad ticking coming from the valve cover area, and from the looks of things, it’s a good bet this engine has already been apart. Hopefully, things aren’t as bad inside as they are outside, but who knows what we’ll find?
